EXHIBITIONS

We are delighted to present two excellent exhibitions in cooperation with Universitätsmuseen:

HILFSLINIEN/LINES OF HELP

The exhibition focuses on the work of legally contracted carers from mostly fromm South East Europe. It traces the lines of their migratory journeys and shows what help from the 24/7 carer entails. It gives insight into job responsibilities, sheds light on working conditions and addresses problems of the home care system. Curator and exhibition author: Christine Braunersreuther. Coordination: David Kranzelbinder

HALT: Keine Gewalt! Stop Violence Against Older People

The traveling exhibition is centered around the themes of physical, psychological, and financial violence against older people. These three categories of violence are depicted within the context of locations where such offenses might occur: be it within homes, institutions, or public spaces. The exhibition is organized by the “Pro Senectute Österreich” association with support from the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care, and Consumer Protection.

Reimagining Dementia: A Creative Coalition for Justice

CIRAC would like to invite you to the Age Care Graz 2023 Film Screening

Reimagining Dementia: A Creative Coalition for Justice is an international group of people living with dementia, carers/care partners, family and community members, dementia activists and allies, health professionals, advocates, artists, academics, policymakers, and others.

They share a vision of care and support that promotes inclusion, relationships, creativity, joy and the possibility of growth for everyone impacted by dementia. The the 7 min, 40 second original song and video was produced by members of Reimagining Dementia in support of World Alzheimer's Month and the Coalition's international grassroots campaign, "Taking it to the Streets" aimed at transforming the narrative about dementia. Melanie Lalani, one of the coalition’s steering committee members, will be on site presenting the film.

The film screening takes place on Friday, September 22, 1 pm, in HS 15.03 (the keynote lecture hall).
